Project Engineer, Industrial Business Unit - France
Perceptron's Project Engineers provide support to internal and external customers by applying knowledge and experience of Perceptron’s gauging products and 3D scanning applications to project activities. This position has a field installation focus but requires participation in all aspects of project activity as directed by the Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation and commissioning of complete systems on assembly lines. These systems collect and process dimensional data or control robots. Installation and commissioning include mechanical set-up, electrical and electronic hook-up, precision alignment of machine vision sensors, establishment of control system and customer network interfaces, as well as parameter setup and algorithm teaching in the system software. Project Engineers also provide ongoing field and customer support, as well as training. For the posted position in France , extensive travelling to the various regional automotive plants, but also on the European continent, is required.
