To design a product tailored for the application, we work with our partners to determine the best combination of vision technology to optimize the viewing experience. To successfully capture what the application requires, we conduct market research to uncover the what, why, where and how the target customer will use the device. This information then leads into specific product characteristics such as depth of field, magnification, focal distance and illumination capabilities.
Depth of Field or DOF is one of many optics and lighting attributes that Perceptron will consider in specifying the best conditions for an optimum viewing experience. These parameters will be different for the various use cases or user applications.

Color Balance/White Balance is a condition of how natural lighting or artificial illumination affects the perceived color of the object being viewed. Corrections are made between the ambient viewing conditions and the displayed viewing conditions. A variety of methods are employed to arrive at a more pleasing or alternatively a more accurate output image.
